What’s next for Strength2Farm?

Following its successful kick-off meeting in Wageningen in summer 2026, the Strength2Farm consortium is moving forward with the first activities of the project, laying the foundations for research, stakeholder engagement and the development of practical solutions to strengthen farmers’ bargaining power.
The initial phase of the project will focus on developing a conceptual framework, identifying key indicators and preparing data collection protocols. These activities will provide the basis for analysing the factors influencing farmers’ bargaining power across different agricultural value chains.
Looking ahead to 2027, the project will launch its first stakeholder co-creation workshops, bringing together agricultural stakeholders to share experiences, discuss challenges and contribute to the development of research activities and practical solutions.
In parallel, partners will advance preparations for case studies, simulation models and digital tools designed to make project findings accessible and useful to farmers, agricultural advisors and policymakers.
The consortium will also meet in Athens in May 2027 to review progress, share emerging insights and coordinate the next stages of implementation.
Stay tuned for further updates as Strength2Farm moves from planning into action, working towards stronger, fairer and more resilient agricultural value chains across Europe.
